Application for Disabled Class A and A1

Application for Disabled Class A and A1 Driving License can be made at the any JPJ Branch Office.

Disabled Driving License Application Requirements:

• OKU Card
• Certified examination report by the medical officer entitling the applicant to a driving license and use of vehicles that have been modified to suit physical ability
• Confirmation from JPJ Automotive Engineering Department for disabled vehicle modification
• For those who possess Class A or A1 driving license and applying to add class, applicants need to register at JPJ Offices

Documents required:

• Identification (original and copy)
• OKU Card (original and copy)
• Vehicle registration card modified according to the original applicant suitability
• Permission letter from the vehicle owner (if applicable)
• Medical examination form for Persons With Disabilities (PWD) can be downloaded from the MOH

Conditions for obtaining a nominal fee (RM2.00):

• A Malaysian citizen
• Physical disability only
• Possession of driving license sole Class A / A1 or combination of both
• Possession of vehicles that have been modified according to physical capabilities that have been approved by the JPJ Automotive Engineering Department
• Submit a permission letter from the vehicle owner if it is not the applicant’s vehicle
• If the data update to license A or A1 is made, Class E and vocational license owned by the driving license holder may be terminated automatically except for GDL, Class C and conductor license
